Happy Gilmore 2has quickly become one of this summer’s most talked-about comedy projects, with Adam Sandler recapturing audience’s hearts by returning to one of his most beloved ‘90s projects. Alongside its new characters and original ideas,Happy Gilmore 2features plenty of cameosand surprises that reward long-time fans of this comedy classic.

While several members of theHappy Gilmorecast didn’t return for the sequel, Sandler’s latest project does a good job of using thenewcharacters to draw connections with the old, bridging the two generations of comedy. The sequel’s best cameos are the ones thatclearly reference a moment from the original movie, although there are some excellent throwaway cameos too.

Sean Evans hosting Hot Ones

10Sean Evans

Sean Evans has become one of the internet’s favorite interviewers over the past few years, with hisYouTube show “Hot Ones”becoming a key stop on any celebrity’s press tour. The show prides itself on its “hot questions and even hotter wings” as the guests make their way through an increasingly spicy selection of chicken wings.

Evans appears inHappy Gilmore 2alongside several other podcasters and internet personalities, including comedians Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino, during Frank Manatee’s press run for the Maxi Golf tournament. The sequence really highlights how important internet shows have become in today’s stream of information, and getting some of this industry’s biggest names involved really pushes that point home.

Travis Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2

9Jack Nicklaus

Jack Nicklaus is widely regarded to be among the greatest golfers of all time, with 117 professional tournament wins to his name by the time he retired in 2005. His role inHappy Gilmore 2is only a brief one, but the inclusion of such a legend of the game really solidifies Sandler’s comedy sequel asa meaningful celebration of golf as a sport.

Nicklaus appears during Happy’s visit to the Tour Champions dinner, where he can be seen in the background before making a witty remark about Arnold Palmer drinks. It’s a quick cameo, but Nicklaus’ involvement in the film is a very nice touch. With several generations of golfing legends in the film, there really aren’t that manygolfers whoaren’tinHappy Gilmore 2.

Post Malone smiling on a sports news show in Happy Gilmore 2

8Post Malone

Post Malone has always displayed a great sense of humor about his career, and he’s more than willing to play the part inHappy Gilmore 2. The 18-time Grammy-nominated singer appears in the comedy sequel as DJ Omar Gosh, who contributes to the news coverage of Happy’s final showdown with the Maxi Golfers alongside Verne Lundquist and Jack Beard.

The reason Post Malone’s cameo works so effectively is because of how strongly his presence clashes with the other commentators, with his brash personality cutting through the shiny professionalism.Much ofHappy Gilmore 2is a commentary on the shifting state of entertainment sports, and DJ Omar Gosh is a very funny demonstration of that phenomenon.

Rory McIlroy swinging a golf club for PGA tour

7Rory McIlroy

Theending ofHappy Gilmore 2sees Sandler’s protagonist team up with several recognizable golfers to bring down Frank Manatee’s enhanced “Maxi Golfers,” whom they believe are ruining the sanctity of the sport.McIlroy is certainly the most exciting of these golf cameosas a five-time major champion and former number-one golfer in the world.

While there are plenty of golfers to choose from, McIlroy leaves the biggest impression as he’s simply given the most to do. He’s one of the film’s most prolific cameos, and he cements himself as a key part of the movie with some brilliant one-liners and deadpan delivery.

Steve Buscemi dancing in Happy Gilmore 2

6Steve Buscemi

Although many ofHappy Gilmore 2’s best cameos are either pro golfers or recognizable sports celebrities, Sandler didn’t pass up on the opportunity to also bring plenty of comedy icons on board. Steve Buscemi, best known for his roles inFargo, The Big Lebowski, andGrown Ups, appears in this comedy sequel as one of Happy’s pesky and eccentric neighbors.

Buscemi doesn’t get too many lines inHappy Gilmore 2, but he certainly makes the most of his entire screen time. His character lives opposite the Gilmores, and his most notable scene sees him get involved in an impromptu fist fight with Happy’s sons, who all share their father’s violent impulses.

Jackie Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2

5Jackie Sandler

Several ofAdam Sandler’s real-life family members appear inHappy Gilmore 2, with the actor’s two daughters also making appearances in the sequel. But while they’re both given supporting roles, it’s only Jackie Sandler’s character who can really be considered a cameo, asshe appears very briefly in the film’s first act.

Jackie Sandler plays the ballet teacher of Happy’s daughter Vienna, who convinces the protagonist that his child is talented enough to attend a professional dance academy in Paris. This is what sparks Happy’s motivation to get back on the golf course, and it’s really fun to see Jackie and Adam Sandler still interacting on screen after more than two decades.

Rory McIroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Brooks Koepka in Happy Gilmore 2

4Scottie Scheffler

Scheffler is another of the pros who teams up with Happy to bring down the Maxi Golfers inHappy Gilmore 2’s final act, but the world’s number one golfer (as of 2025) also gets involved withone of the film’s most self-aware jokes. After punching another golfer during the tournament, Scheffler proclaims “not again” as he’s taken away by police.

ThisHappy Gilmore 2joke references a real-life incident; in 2024, Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic. The charges came after an incident at Valhalla Golf Club, but were soon dropped. Scheffler’s willingness to joke about the situation is exactly why his cameo is so memorable.

Bad Bunny as Oscar putting honey on his boss Travis Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2

3Travis Kelce

Many ofHappy Gilmore 2’s cameos consist of famous sportspeople playing themselves, but Travis Kelce is one of the few familiar faces who appear as a fictional character. The NFL icon plays one of the waiters at Happy’s golf club, wherehe constantly clashes with Bad Buddy’s character, Oscar. Consequently, he makes a memorable appearance in Oscar’s “happy place” later in the film.

It takes a very confident actor to let themselves get covered in honey and tied to a tree for the sake of a brief gag in an Adam Sandler comedy, but Kelce gets the job done perfectly.Kelce has already appeared in several moviesalongside his NFL career, andHappy Gilmore 2proves that he should keep this up in the future.

Eminem and Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2

2Eminem

It was a huge surprise to see Eminem inHappy Gilmore 2, since the rapper has never been involved with the golf scene in any way, but he immediately proved his worth with one of the movie’s funniest cameos of all. He’s introduced as the son of Joe Flaherty’sHappy Gilmorecharacter, who constantly distracted Happy from the sidelines by calling him a jackass.

Eminem’s character serves a similar purpose inHappy Gilmore 2’s story, distracting Sandler’s protagonist during a crucial moment of the final match, but the cameo quickly evolves into something much sillier when he falls into a pond and gets attacked by alligators. It’s a fairly brief scene, but one that’s so weird and unexpected that it really stands out.

Will Zalatoris talking to Happy in Happy Gilmore 2 (2025)

1Will Zalatoris

Perhaps the most self-aware cameo inHappy Gilmore 2belongs to Will Zalatoris, who was retroactively confirmed to be Happy’s caddy from the original movie. The professional golfer has long been compared to this young character, who was originally played by Jared Van Snellenberg, so it was very fitting to see him finally involved withHappy Gilmore 2.

There are plenty of exciting cameos inHappy Gilmore 2, but the most effective are those that aredirectlyconnected to characters from the previous movie. Zalatoris is the best example of this, and the sportsman delivers a hilarious performance as the vengeful golfer looking to make Happy Gilmore pay.
