Sometimes, to assist with promotion, musicians will call on familiar faces, as seen by the celebrity appearances in thesemusicvideos for hit rock songs. Many genres have taken this route, includingmajor celebrity sightings in pop-punk. Additionally, someclassic rock legends have enlisted some of the biggest starsto boost their projects. However, as much as these appearances assist the artists, they can also benefit those appearing.
Numerouscelebrities appeared in music videos before their rise to megastardom. This demonstrates just how powerful a tool these can be. Ever since MTV popularized them in the ’80s, they have become an essential part of musical releases. Given that rock can attract a niche audience at times, crossovers like these can help draw attention to those who may have otherwise missed these hit songs. These contribute to their success, marking a win for all involved.
