The DC Universe is Picking Up Where the Cartoon Left Off
Aya was a main character featured onGreen Lantern: The Animated Series. She’s the Interceptor’s AI system who assisted the Green Lanterns on their missions. During the show, she had a bond with the Red Lantern Razer. The show ended with Aya sacrificing herself to stop the Anti-Monitor and Razer beginning a quest to find any remaining part of her.
Interestingly,Green Lanternwriter Jeremy Adams wrote for the animated series and introduced Razer as well. Now he’s brought Aya along, giving fans of the show the first appearance of the character since the cartoon ended. Hopefully, this means Adams can pick up where the show left off and give Razer and Aya the happy ending they deserve.

A Fan-Favorite Couple Can Finally Be Together
Razer and Aya’s relationship was a huge part of the cartoon, and it was something fans really loved seeing develop. But the show’s cancellation andthe couple’s non-canon status meant fans had no way of seeing these two ever find happiness together. But now that they’re both DC canon, it’s just a matter of time before they find one another.
It’s taken a decade, but for the first time since the show ended, there’s real hope for Aya and Razer. They’ve both clearly been through a lot, but they’re on the precipice of reuniting and seeing the two back together is going to be worth it for every DC fan who has been waiting all this time.
