1000-lb Sistersseason 7 just premiered and there are already signs thatAmy SlatonandTammy Slatonare going to have to share the spotlight more than usual this season. The show centers around the weight-loss journeys of 37-year-old Amy and 38-year-old Tammy, but several of their siblings also appear alongside them. The Slatons are a close-knit bunch. They spend all of their time together, which means they butt heads a lot. With a new season upon us, the Slaton siblings are up to their usual drama as they continue to pursue their weight-loss goals.
The premiere of1000-lb Sistersseason 7came as a big surprise because season 6 finished airing on TLC recently. The new season found the Slatons all back in Kentucky, butmany of their lives had changed a great deal since the last time the family was on television. Amy and Tammy both have new relationships, and they have to find a balance as they continue to pursue their weight-loss goals. Judging by the first episode, this season will feature more of the other Slatons, and I don’t think Amy and Tammy will like sharing the spotlight.
Amy Has A New Man

1000-lb Sistersseason 7 opens with Amy talking about her new boyfriend, Bryan Scott Lovvorn. According to Amy, she and Bryan met at a concert. They wereboth in the mosh pit and got to talking. They ended up leaving to grab a taco together, and they’ve been together ever since. ThoughAmy seems happy with Bryan, her family is worried that she’s moving too quickly. Amy has been known to get too serious with new boyfriends too quickly, which has always blown up in her face.
During the premiere episode of1000-lb Sistersseason 7, Amyexpresses interest in having a baby with Bryan. “He was talking about me getting my tubes untied,” Amy says to her shocked sister, Amanda Halterman, adding, “To have another baby.” Amanda responds by recommending they take a cold shower. Amanda argues that Amy barely knows Bryan. Amyhas her two young sons to think about, and I hope she thinks long and hard about having another baby with a man she barely knows.
Tammy Is Desperate For Skin Removal Surgery

1000-lb Sistersseason 7 finds Tammy desperate for skin removal surgery. Since making her television debut in 2020, Tammy has lost 500 pounds. Though it’s great that Tammy lost so much weight so quickly, it hasalso left her with an unsightly amount of loose excess skin. The skin makes it hard for Tammy to walk and can lead to dangerous infections. During the first episode of the new season, Tammy’s doctors refuse to operate on her extra skin until she quits vaping nicotine.

During the first episode of1000-lb Sistersseason 7, it was revealed thatTammy is secretly dating a woman, and shehasn’t told her family about her new relationship. Near the end of the episode, Tammy sneaks into a minivanand takes off. “There’s something I haven’t told my family,” says Tammy. “Cause my family gonna have something to say about it.” She goes on to explain that she’s been dating a woman for a couple of months. The episode ended before Tammy’s new girlfriend appeared, but I hope we get to meet her during the next episode.
Amanda Is Living With Amy
She’s Got A New Boyfriend Too
While the show focuses on Amy and Tammy, several of their other siblings are also involved. The new season finds1000-lb Sisters' Amanda Haltermanliving with her sister Amy. At the end of last season, Amandaannounced that she was leaving Kentucky and moving to Florida to be with her new boyfriend, RJ. The relationship ended when RJ unceremoniously dumped Amanda by ghosting her. Amanda moved back to Kentucky, and moved in with Amy and her two young sons, Gage and Glenn Halterman.
While several of the Slaton siblings want skin removal surgery, Chris isthe only one who has been able to lose enough weight to qualify for the procedure.
Like Amy,Amanda has a new man too. She’s been dating her boyfriend, Leonard Moore, for a few months. After seeing the premiere episode of1000-lb Sistersseason 7, it’s unclear if he will appear in the new season. Amanda is also focused on continuing to pursue her weight-loss goals. Last season, knee surgery sidelined Amanda’s weight-loss progress, but she hopes to get back on track this season. I hope Amanda won’t be living with Amy for long, because the two sisters have been known to have some knock-down drag-out fights.
Chris Is Recovering From Surgery
He’s Considering A Second Procedure
Chris weighed over 450 pounds when1000-lb Sisterspremiered in 2020. Inspired by his sisters, Amy and Tammy Slaton,Chris had bariatric surgery in 2022, and lost over 150 pounds. While several of the Slaton siblings want skin removal surgery, Chris isthe only one who has been able to lose enough weight to qualify for the procedure. During1000-lb Sistersseason 6,Chris received his skin removal surgery. He looked like a new man as he left the hospital after his procedure alongside his wife, 36-year-old Brittany Combs. Since then, his results have been even more incredible.
Time will tell if Chris decides to go under the knife again, or if he can live with the rest of his excess skin.

Though he wants the second procedure,his first skin removal surgery was painful. Time will tell if Chris decides to go under the knife again, or if he can live with the rest of his excess skin. Either way, it’s clear that Amy and Tammy are going to share the spotlight with their siblings, and I don’t think they’ll like it.
