Next year, DC Comics' iconic archerGreen Arrowis coming to the Absolute Universe. This year’sSan Diego Comic-Conis in full swing and DC is hitting the ground running with an exciting announcement. Next spring, the Absolute Universe will be joined by everyone’s favorite green-hued archer in a brand-new miniseries.
It’s the first day of San Diego Comic Con 2025 and the air is electric right now.DC Comics kicked thingsoff with its “DC All In: What’s Next” panel to highlight the exciting things the mindsbehind the Absolute linehave coming up later this year. In addition to crossovers, the line is getting a bit bigger with a brand-new miniseries.
The panel confirmed next spring would see the publication ofAbsolute Green Arrow, a six-issue miniseries by Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuqurque. Details were slim, but the panel confirmed thatits new Green Arrow would be debuting inthis fall’sAbsolute Evilone-shot. The panel also showed off preview art that showed off a glimpse of the new Emerald Archer.

The Absolute Universe began roughly a year ago when Darkseid used his energy to shape a new Earth to reflect his ideals. This new world was rougher and heavily skewed towards the villains. Heroes like Batman and Wonder Woman still exist, but they face greater obstacles and lack many of the comforts that their Prime Universe counterparts have.
This is the first new hero to join the Absolute Universe since the line expanded earlier this year. There’s not much that fans know about this version of Oliver Queen just yet. But if the other Absolute Universe books are anything to go off of,Absolute Green Arrow will be, at his core, the same herofans know and love.

DC’s New Emerald Archer Arrives Next Spring
Of course, given that this is an Absolute Universe title, Queen is almost certain to face challenges like his peers in this world. He could lack his wealth, company, or the connections that keep him grounded in the Prime Universe. But no matter the differences, the Absolute heroes are just as dedicated to justiceas their Prime doppelgangers.
Fans are going to have to wait just a little bit longer before getting more information on this new Oliver. But he’ll be making his debut inAbsolute Evilin just a short few months and before long, DC fans everywhere will get to see just what he’s made of inAbsolute Green Arrow.
