With new content forOverwatchessentially being limited to fresh cosmetics until the sequel releases, many fans have spent their time trying to pull off flashy plays. One such play comes from a D.Va user, and while a triple kill for thisOverwatchcharacter is usually nothing extraordinary, this time was an exception.

The main reason that theOverwatchcommunity is so used to D.Va getting multi-kills is her Self-Destruct Ultimate. As many surely know,D.Va’s main abilityallows her to detonate her mech after a brief countdown timer, wiping out any teams that may not be expecting the explosion. Usually, D.Va fans will use this creatively, launching their mech over structures and into the sky so that it explodes once it lands. However, Redditor Rub1ousRaven managed to take out several enemies without using this ability at all.

The clip in question takes place on theOverwatchmapHollywood, with the D.Va player seen on the Saloon’s rooftop. At the start of the clip, Rub1ousRaven does not have their mech, and is instead taking shots at an enemy Reaper with the surprisingly effective Light Gun pistol. After the Reaper teleports away, the D.Va user peers down at the enemy team. With the Redditor’s allies clearly wiped out, the enemy team does not seem very on edge, as they are all standing patiently together on the payload as it moves forward. However, it is this confidence that leads to their deaths.

The D.Va player leaps off the rooftop and down onto the limousine, and while a few enemies are quick to react by jumping away, a majority continue riding. In a split second, the D.Va user activates their mech, killing three different enemies when it lands. With a Damage character in Hanzo lost as well asMercyand Moira, the enemy team’s healers, D.Va has effectively stopped their easy push. The D.Va then sets their sights on another enemy attempting to run away.

The enemyRoadhogcan be seen fleeing, but not before D.Va finally lets off her Self-Destruct. While this only kills the Roadhog, it is effective, and it is funny to see a scenario where calling a mech proved more deadly than a massive explosion. With Rub1ousRaven singlehandedly stopping an enemy push, they deserve the praise they are getting in the comments and the 8,800 upvotes the post has received thus far. Unsurprisingly, many have pointed the cleverness of the player and laughed at the casual enemy team that was just standing still on the payload.

While there have been plenty ofother uniqueOverwatchtriple killsshared over the years, this one should prove particularly special for those familiar with D.Va. Going forward, it may even inspire gamers to get more creative with where they call in their mechs.
