E3 2019 is only a few weeks away and is expectedto showcase the biggest video games of the year. However, when the floor plan for the upcoming event was revealed, many wondered why Activision was nowhere to be found. Now, the publisher has confirmed that it will not have a booth at E3 2019.

AlthoughActivisionwill not put up a booth to showcase its games during E3 this year, the publisher confirmed that it will still be present at the event and will be available to talk to the press and attend meetings. Some may remember that Activision did a similar thing in 2016, ahead of the release ofCall of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Back in those days, Activision heavily relied on press conferences to showcase its upcoming games. AlthoughSony won’t be at E3 2019, Activision likely has outlets for revealing its new titles, including the nextCall of Dutygame.

In a tweet posted by the official E3 Twitter account, it has been confirmed that the untitledCall of Dutywill be featured at the E3 Coliseum event. It is assumed that Activision’s move to E3’s Coliseum event is due to Sony’s confirmed absence this year. Some might wonder why Activision wouldn’t use Microsoft’s E3 press conference to revealCall of Duty 2019, but now that the DLC timed exclusivity partnership has shifted to PlayStation, it’s hard to imagine going back.

It is also worth remembering that Activision has a lighter than usual roster of games for this year, which is probably why it decided to skip E3’s show floor. Activision doesn’t haveDestinyanymore after letting Bungie take full control of the franchise, and the only major announcement it has right now isCall of Dutyand the upcoming launch ofCrash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled.
