Former Wayforward devs hope to hit consoles
Some of the developers responsible for the originalShantaeand Wayforward’sA Boy and his Blobare burning up Kickstarter with a thing calledAdventures of Pip. It’s the story of a single square who evolves into a full, 16-bit style character in his quest to save the world. Screenshots don’t quite do the game justice, as a big part of the visual hook comes from recreating traditional “sprite art” with each individual pixel represented by a stand-alone object. That soundtrack by Jake “virt” Kaufman doesn’t hurt either.
If the game makes its funding, we’ll get it on Mac, PC, and the more recently announced Xbox One and Wii U. Which of those two consoles do you think the game will sell better on? The only way we’ll find out is if the game gets made, so be sure to spread the word about this one so we’ll get to play it someday.
