DC’s Satan Girl Explained: Supergirl’s Most Sinister Enemy
Variant Cover by Homare forSupergirl#3 (2025)
Over the years, several characters have taken on the name Satan Girl, with the first, and perhaps most notable, being Kara’s clone, who debuted inAdventure Comics#313 (1963).She was created after Supergirl was accidentally exposed to red Kryptoniteand attempted to prolong her existence by infecting members of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Ultimately, she was defeated by Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Pets and died once the Kryptonite’s effects wore off. Since Kara will be dealing with identity fraud and battling someone posing as her in her new series, it’s highly likely this clone version of Satan Girl is making a comeback.
However,DC’s synopsis hints that the imposter Supergirland Satan Girl may be separate entities: “It’s Supergirl versus Supergirl in a fight for the ages! Plus, the debut of Satan Girl?!”Much about the villain remains a mystery, but one thing is clear, the modern redesign is unforgettable. The issue’s cover art features a split image of Supergirl and Satan Girl, with the right side revealing a chalk-white-skinned, pink-eyed, pupil-less woman wearing a black cowl and razor-sharp red nails. Even fans unfamiliar with Satan Girl will be drawn in by her eerie, striking look.

Given that it’s still unclear whether Supergirl will be facing multiple villains, it’s a good thing she won’t be alone. All in all, there’s plenty to look forward to in this newSupergirlseries, beyond just the return of Satan Girl.
