Releasing three episodes each week,Andorseason 2’s 12 episodes have basically been split up into four newStar Warsmovies. Case in point, the runtime forAndorseason 2 episodes 1-3in total is just under two and a half hours, full of twists, surprises, and dark parallels as early Rebel cells struggle to face the oppressive might that is the Imperial regime. With that in mind, here are some of the best social media reactions fromStar Warsfans toAndorseason 2’s premiere:

@brookstweetzhas apparently already left a 5 star review for the season, using the perfect Mon Mothma gif.

@dinmurdockis lovingAndorseason 2’s release schedule and the fact that the first three episodes played very well in one sitting, effectively being “a whole a** movie” (and he’s absolutely right).

@mattroembkeis giving some major love to the Rebel Alliance, arguing that “Rebel s***” will always top Jedi, Sith, and more (which is pretty hard to argue right now).

@rotsokahas givenAndorseason 2’s premiere some very high praise, calling the first three episodes “some of the best television” they’ve ever seen, while also shouting out the perfect execution of the show’s music and various settings.

@Chopper_Rebelis already planning to make memes out of Syril Karn dissociating on his bed after interacting with his mother, a perfect template allStar Warswill no doubt be adding to their repertoire as the perfect reaction to how we’re all feeling trying to processAndorseason 2’s first three episodes (and likely all the episodes still to come).

@emkenobidesperately wants everyone to watchAndorseason 2, especiallyStar Warsfans. They’re also well aware of the clear relevance of this story written by showrunner Tony Gilroy and how it connects to real-life current events.

Andor Season 2’s Premiere Is Full Of Big Surprises, Major Shocks, And Clear Real-World Parallels

Non-Stop Tension For All Characters In An Oppressed Galaxy

Jumping between multiple settings and characters, the pacing and storytelling on display inAndorseason 2’s premiere is truly a master class and quite impressive to behold. Likewise, the ongoing struggle to defy a regime as massive and oppressive as the Galactic Empire continues into this new season in ways that will be incredible to watch unfold, both on the individual level for specific characters and as a collective galaxy.

As many fans have already noted, it’s not hard at all to seeAndorseason 2’s real-world similarities to ongoing controversies and concerns about growing levels of fascism. Also, there’s something to be said that many of these unflinching parallels aren’t entirely the fault of the show itself, as some are just brutal coincidences. One can easily argue that in many ways, real life has simply caught up to the messages, warnings, and themes that first began with George Lucas nearly 50 years ago. It’s going to be fascinating to see whereAndorseason 2 goes next as the Rebellion struggles to come to fruition.
