AlthoughApex Legendslaunched to pretty rave reviews and quickly found a dedicated base of players, that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvements. One major part of the game that the community had some big problems with was the structure content of the Season 1 Battle Pass. It sounds like Respawn was listening and many of the big complaints are being addressed when season 2 Battle Pass arrives, according totoday’s EA Play livestream.
From addition content to the removal of stat tracker and badges, Respawn is looking to deliver in a big way whenApex LegendsSeason 2 arrives in a few weeks. The devs spent much of the EA Play time discussion the improvements and changes coming in the new season including a Ranked Mode for the more competitive scene.
Here are the highlights of the biggest changes coming in the season 2 Battle Pass for Apex Legends:
“Season 2 also sees the debut of a brand new mode, Ranked 1.0. In Ranked, players will be matched by skill as they compete to reach the top of six individual tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Apex Predator), earning exclusive cosmetics and rewards at the end of each season based on where they place.
With Season 2 comes a new and improved Battle Pass, full of fresh rewards, special challenges, even more Legendary skins, the ability to earn crafting metal, three entirely new content categories, and more.. That’s just some of what fans can expect in this season’s Battle Pass, with further details coming closer to the launch of Season 2.”
The Ranked Mode sounds like the first step towards introducing a more competitive and professional aspect to Apex Legends. The game is already finding its place in the eSports landscape, but clearly Respawn wants to see the game continue to grow and takeover a share of that crowded marketplace.
