Summary
To survive inDungeonborne, fans must learn how to fend off hostile players. However, it is important to mention that not every class can be perfect in PvP, and some are stronger than others. So,if players are ready to dungeon crawl, they better go prepared.
Be it solo play or cooperative mode, delving into the dungeon will require fans to adapt to a particular class, and learn all its tactics, mechanics, and optimal builds. This topic analyzes the best PvP classes inDungeonborne, with an emphasis on survivability, crowd control, and engaging tactics.
7Fighter
Tanky, But Slow, Requires Tactical Positioning
The Fighter is the class with more resilience and HP pool in the game, with access to various skills from buffs to area damage. It wears heavy armor and that, of course, makes him slower than other classes. They can use crossbows, longswords, swords, maces, and shields. In PvP, the warrior shines at holding positions like doors or hallways while ranged damage dealers beat their opponents from afar, or can distract the frontline classes like Swordmasters and Death Knights while the Rogues on their team outflank their opponents.
Although this class is pretty good in solo play, itis better to use the Fighter in cooperative play, especially since its Battle Cry and Inspire skills can buff the whole group, turning the tide of battle in a pinch. This class is quite simple to play, although it has a main flaw: Rogues and Druids can easily gain their backs and overwhelm them with fast strikes, spells, and poison.
6Death Knight
Good Initiator, Great Damage Mitigation And CC
The Death Knight is a hybrid class between a magic damage dealer and a melee vanguard. It uses Soul Energy to cast spells to initiate combat (Grasp of the Grave) and to mitigate damage once combat starts (Soul Shroud). From the two tank classes in the game, it is the best for PvP purposes, since it is a good initiator and can hold its ground as much as the Fighter and the Swordmaster do.
However, since it is too dependent on Soul Energy to cast its abilities, it needs a constant stream of enemy souls to function properly. If players happen to be caught off guard after using their skills several times in a row and run out of Soul Energy when facing enemy players, they’ll be easily overwhelmed. It is a moderately difficult class to master, but with a little practice, it can be done.
5Cryomancer
Squishy, But With Great Utility And Damage
In every good team composition, a range damage dealer is needed, and if players are going to go for a reliable option for PvP, the Cryomancer is the ideal choice. This class has great skills to do DoT Area damage and CC, while also being able to buff and heal its allies. Though its heal andsupport output is not as good as the Priest, it can equip Elemental Staffs, which makes it a good hybrid that can heal and damage or debuff and cause CC.
But, it has a fatal flaw: when out of Soul Energy, the Cryomancer cannot cast its abilities, so players need to constantly kill monsters (or players) to replenish their energy pool. The good thing is that, when playing as a team, fans won’t have to worry about this as much. Beware of Rogues and Druids since they can easily flank and blast Cryomancers in seconds unless a player uses an Ice Storm/Ice Barrier build.
4Pyromancer
Burn, Kill, Burn Again
The Pyromancer is the perfect glass cannon. While tremendously squishy, if players use tactical positioning and single-target tactics, they can quickly decimate groups of enemies and emerge victorious in any encounter. However, if fans don’t aim with precision, they can become a hindrance for the team, since this class hasthe most heinous friendly fire mechanicsin the whole game, so be careful.
The Pyromancer’s main advantage is its cooldown reduction passives and spell stacking, which can help players attain a great rotation between weapon skills and spell casting. The class is good in solo PvP, but if players feel more skilled, they can also try it in group play and see how bright it shines as a range damage dealer.
3Druid
Stalk The Prey, Kill The Prey
The Druid is an excellent class for every rookie player trying their luck inDungeonborne’s PvP for the first time. It is well-balanced, powerful, and hasa kit optimized to detect targetsbefore they can see the player, even those who are using stealth, so it is the perfect counter for Rogues and Swordmasters. Using Primal Awakening turns the Druid into a Panther, increasing its speed and jump height. It also grants access to the powerful Shadow Assault skill and turns it into a powerful and nimble melee DPS.
The Force of Nature skill will summon a Treant (stationary) that will regularly hit any opponents passing near it, and grant a percentage of the damage dealt as a shield. Ideally, players should cast Force of Nature to create strangle points near doors to block the advance of rival teams/players or block their escape route. Then quickly shapeshift to Panther and use Shadow Assault to block their escape routes as players use hit-and-run tactics around their Treant to stay protected from potential flankers.
And remember: its passive Predatory Senses (unlocked at 36 Dex) automatically detects enemies in a 30 m radius, even stealthed ones, when the Druid is in Panther shape.
2Rogue
Become A Shadow, They’ll Never See You Coming
The Rogue is great at long-range surprise attacks. Using its passive Stealthbreak Venom, players can apply poison every time they attack from stealth. Use this combined with Swift Concealment (insta stealth skill) and they’ll become a menace, terrorizing Mages, Priests, Swordmasters, and Most Melee classes. Though a skilled Druid can counter the Rogue’s powerful kit, once players get the hang of its many useful passives and skill rotations, the Rogue can become quite disruptive.
Entering stealth, applying Petrifying Poison on a healer, disabling their team composition, and outflanking the squishier attackers can be a great tactic. Players can also combine the Rogue’s natural nimbleness with Smokescreen Flask to confuse and oppress melee attackers, flanking them, hitting them, and diverting their attention while the team nukes them with focused damage. However, it has a major vulnerability. Fighting in reduced spaces can be easily countered by two or more players. Fans should avoid being cornered and stay as far away from Swordmasters using their Blade Barrier skills or Death Knights using Soul Shroud.
1Swordmaster
The Best At Solo PvP, Well Balanced
A combination of melee damage dealer, off tank, and ambush fighter, Swordmasters can enter stealth by crouching and staying still for a few seconds, then jumping out of the shadows by overwhelming their opponents with a barrage of magically empowered blades. They can also use a blade to cast Whirling Blade, a blade barrier skill that causes area damage and combines with its Deflection passive, granting the Swordmaster a whopping 50% damage reduction while the skill is active.
Since this class can use Longswords, Shields, Crossbows, and Swords, its versatility is considerable, and ideal for various types of tactics. It doesn’t shine too much in group PvP, since its spells need Swords to operate, and players usually carry eight extra swords with them to fire as ammo. This makes playing as a Swordmaster quite expensive in higher tiers. While learning how its skills operate, be prepared to lose a lot of gold, and invest only in Rusted Swords to practice. Its fast and overwhelming attacks are combined with skills that can help players chase away powerful opponents. Enter stealth andleisurely healwhile the opponents are too scared to keep engaging. Conversely, if players have the upper hand, they can go all in and overwhelm them firing a barrage of four swords, slowing them down, then closing in for the kill. Extremely fun to play, and moderately hard to master.
