“Common People”’s Amanda Teaches Her Class About The ADI Bees From Black Mirror Season 3’s “Hated In The Nation” Episode
The ADI Bees Went On A Killing Spree In The Season 3 Finale
InBlack Mirrorseason 7, episode 1, Amanda teaches her class of young students about ADI bees, which is a callback to the bee tech from season 3, episode 6, “Hated in the Nation.” Amanda discusses the benefits of the ADI bees, whichwere designed to replace natural bees after they had nearly gone extinct. Amanda teaches her students, who appear to be around 7 or 8 years old, that the ADI bees pollinate flowers and are a breakthrough technology that is vital to the environment.
Amanda does not, however, cover the vicious attacks ofthe ADI bees, who killed hundreds of thousands of peopleinBlack Mirrorseason 3, episode 6, “Hated in the Nation.” The ADI bees, which were created by a tech company called Granular, were overtaken by the government and used to secretly surveil citizens. What’s even worse is that the ADI bees were hacked and corrupted to be linked to an app that called for the death of one person daily, based on a despicable or irredeemable act that went viral on the Internet.
Amanda’s Lesson To Her Class Makes “Hated In The Nation’s” Ending Even Darker
It’s Shockingly Eerie That The ADI Bees Haven’t Been Banned
Amanda keeps praising the tech behind the ADIs her students, which is incredibly eerie and odd because of the gruesome nature of “Hated in the Nation’s” ending. SinceBlack Mirrorviewers already know the dark reality of how that tech has been manipulated through the various deaths in the season 3 finale, it seems that Amanda is purposely hiding the truth about the ADI bees, or it has somehow been erased from history. It’s shocking that the ADI tech is still being used inBlack Mirrorseason 7 after the horrific outcome of the season 3 finale.
