A bigCall of Duty 2020leak hit the Internet yesterday, as a Doritos 2 XP promotional campaign appeared online. It revealed that the game’s title will apparently beCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waras previously rumored, as well as showed off a new logo. One of the more important details, however, is the date that theCall of Duty 2020Doritos promotion starts, as it likely reveals the upcoming game’s release month.
The fine print on theCall of Duty 2020Doritos promotionstates that it begins on June 20, 2025. As some may recall, theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareDoritos 2 XP promotion started on the exact same date last year. What this means is that it’s very likely thatCall of Duty 2020’s release date will be some point in October, with five dates in October in particular that stand out as the most likely possibilities.

NewCall of Dutygames generally release on Fridays, and assuming the new game sticks to that pattern,Call of Duty 2020’s release dateis likely October 9, 16, 23, or 30. And out of those possibilities, October 23 or 30 seem to be the safest bets, asCoDgames tend to release closer to November. Of course, it’s possible that the newCall of Dutyrelease date is going to be later than expected or that plans with this Doritos promotion have changed, so fans should keep that in mind.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris already a huge shift away from tradition, as the newCall of Dutygames have been consistently revealed by the end of May every year for a decade now. It’s nearly August, and Activision has yet to unveil anything about the game beyond acknowledging the fact that the company still plans on releasing a newCall of Dutygame this holiday season. It’s unclear why Activision has decided to go this route when it comes to revealing the newCall of Duty, but hopefully theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warreveal happens sooner rather than later.
ManyCall of Dutyleakers and insiders seem to believe thatBlack Ops Cold Warwill be revealed through theWarzonebattle royale, and with Season 5 right around the corner, it’s possible the wait will soon be over.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold Warwill launch later this year for unspecified platforms.
