GKIDS took to the Twitterverse to reveal a quick sneak peek at the English dub ofLupin III: The First.Coming off a wildly successful release in Japanese theaters,Lupin III: The Firstis heading to the United States, with an all-star English cast dubbing the smashanimehit.
The news comes from the official GKIDS Twitter profile. The brief 30-second snippet ofLupin III: The Firstfeatures a quick shot of explosive action and cunning thievery, along with an impressive animated presentation that captures the style and substance of the original manga. Following the initial tweet, GKIDS also tweeted the all-star English cast that will be dubbingLupin III: The First,with many favorites from previous works returning to the lead cast. Leading off the cast is Tony Oliver, who has voiced Lupin in several Lupin television specials, including the fairly recentLupin the 3rd: Goodbye Partner.Coming fresh ofNetflix’sDoredore,Doug Erholtz returns as Zegita.Ghost in the Shellstar Richard Epcar voices Zigen once more, and Michelle Ruff (Sword Art Online) returns as Fujiko. Finally, Lex Lang (Doom Patrol) returns as Goemon Ishikawa XIII.Lupin III: The Firstfollows the gang on a new heist in the 1960’s, pursuing a sacred treasure, known as The Bresson Diary.
