While such highly anticipated titles asDevil May Cry 5and theResident Evil 2remake are on the way, as most gamers would likely agree, these are just two examples ofCapcom’s incredibly deep well full of classic IPs. Now, the publisher and developer has decided to dive deep into its back catalog and release bundle of memorable old-school beat ‘em up titles for Nintendo Switch, with the package including seven classic arcade games from the company.
As indicated below in the official announcement trailer for theCapcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, the title will not only be releasing for Nintendo Switch on Jul 20, 2025, but also for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as well. For $20, the compendium of games includesFinal Fight,Captain Commando,The King of Dragons,Knights of the Round,Warriors of Fate,Armored Warriors, andBattle Circuit, with this being the first time that the two lattermost titles have ever been officially playable on a home console.
According to Capcom, theCapcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundlewill support up to four-player local and online multiplayer at launch, and the compilation of classics will be released on the same day that Nintendo launchesits paid online service for Switch. It is worth noting, though, that each game’s multiplayer options and online capabilities will vary. As bonus features,Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundlewill also include “detailed galleries,” adjustable difficulty settings, as well as the option to choose between playing the English or Japanese version of each game in the bundle.
All things considered, theCapcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundlelooks like a bargain when one thinks about the sheer amount of gameplay that one can get out of the package. While the bundle’s couch co-op features will likely be welcome by fans on each of its supported platforms, the Nintendo Switch will have the added advantage of portability. With this being the case, $20 for an on-the-go arcade experience on the Switch sounds like fantastic idea on the surface.
TheCapcomBeat ‘Em Up Bundleis scheduled to launch on July 12, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
