For the first Nintendo Switch direct in well over a year, yesterday’s stream announced several titles in development on the Switch. Fan favoritesPyra and MythrafromXenoblade Chronicles 2,were announced as the newest addition to theSmashroster. New entries in existing series such asMario Golf Super RushandSplatoon 3were also announced.

Of the many titles announced during the direct, one game may have flown under the radar for some.Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi – Owaranai Nanokakan no Tabiwas announced exclusively on the Japanese broadcast of the Nintendo Direct. With no such inclusion of the game in the American Nintendo Direct, however, fans were left wondering if there was a chance to see a localization of the game.

The charming visuals of Shin-chan doing daily activities such as fishing, bug catching, and interacting with his family and neighbors, coupled with the art style that Crayon Shin-chan is known for, became an instant point-of-interest for fans of theCrayon Shin-chananime.

Shortly after the Direct, many fans took to Twitter to ask if the game will release in other regions, specifically Europe. The developer of theCrayon Shin-changame, Kaz Ayabe, also known as the developer ofAttack of the Friday Monsters!tweeted that he will “do his best” to get the game localized for a western audience.

If theCrayon Shin-changame gets localized for the European market, there is a chance that the North American version wouldn’t be too far away. The chances of aCrayon Shin-chanreaching the States is more likely than fans would think, as it wouldn’t be the first time aCrayon Shin-chantitle was released in the United States. Last year anendless runnertitledCRAYON SHINCHAN The Storm Called FLAMING KASUKABE RUNNER!!was quietly released as an eShop title on the Switch.
