Creed: Rise to Glorynow has a confirmed PlayStation VR2 release date and a new subtitle. The virtual reality boxing game set within theRockyuniverse, started by Sylvester Stallone as a film series in 1976, was already a fan favorite across multiple VR platforms.Rise to Glory’s reissue for the updated PS VR2comes with several tech upgrades that take full advantage of the new hardware.
Creed: Rise to Glorywas originally released on the Oculus Quest and PlayStation VR back in 2018. Its release coincided with the release ofCreed 2,the sequel to the filmCreedstarring Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, the son of long-time Rocky Balboa rival and eventual friend Apollo Creed.Rise to Glorywas reviewed favorably by critics. Metacritic scores hover at around the mid-80s for the PC version and low 70s for the PS4 version.

Creed: Rise to Glory - Championship Editionwill hit the PlayStation VR2on April 4th, one month afterCreed 3lands in theaters. In addition to a roster that already includedRockyfranchise mainstays like Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago, and Rocky Balboa himself, players will now get the chance to take on Jonathan Majors’ character fromCreed 3,Damien Anderson. The biggest change in the PS VR2 port comes on the technical side.
Championship Editionwill come with full 4K and HDR support. Advanced controller tracking will make combat much more precise and the 110-degree field of view will make the game easier to play for players susceptible to motion sickness. The game’s 3D audio will make it seem like Rocky is right behind the player cheering them on from the corner of the ring. Maybe the most interesting new feature is haptic feedback, thanks toa newly designed haptic system in the PlayStation VR2Sense controllers and headset. Every punch to the head will feel like a much softer, gentler punch to the head with a lower chance of walking away concussed.
