Following CD Projekt Red’s public release ofCyberpunk 2077’s behind-closed-doorsgameplay demo from E3 2018, many gaming fans were quick to point out how fantastic the project’s visuals are in its current state, which shows significant promise of the action-RPG going on to become one of the best-looking titles of its generation. With this being the case, players have been wondering whether or not they will be able capture some of their favorite in-game moments by way of a Photo Mode. Thankfully, CD Projekt Red has confirmed the feature will be in the game.
As seen in the Twitter exchange below between a gaming fan and the officialCyberpunk 2077account, the player asks if there will be a “3rd person view option” in order for one to appreciate how their character looks in the environment of Night City. This prompted CD Projekt Red to respond and confirm a Photo Mode, but the studio has yet to give a fuller idea in regards to what kind of tools and features will be on-hand for photography enthusiasts to utilize.
There’s no doubt that the addition of a Photo Mode toCyberpunk 2077is a great idea as a supplementary feature for the game, but it will be interesting to see if it will be accessible to players at launch, especially considering the ambitious scope of the base game could require all of CD Projekt Red’s attention. After all, such critical and fan successes asGod of Waradded a Photo Mode post-launch, with Santa Monica Studio having opted to focus solely on ensuring that the game itself is as perfect as possible before bringing ancillary features into the mix.
All things considered, should CD Projekt Red decide to putCyberpunk 2077’s Photo Mode on the back burner to better refine the playable portions of the forthcoming action-RPG, it’s safe to presume that most fans of the developer wouldn’t mind one bit. So, while the title is currentlyplayable from start to finish internally, there’s still a lot of work left to be done on the game, and there’s no telling where CD Projekt Red is rankingCyberpunk 2077’s Photo Mode on its list of priorities.
Cyberpunk 2077currently lacks an official release date, but is expected to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
