Danganronpais not an easy franchise to summarize. It is a visual novel favorite that matches high school high jinx in a deadly game of murder, lies and courtroom battles. The games are broken up into three distinct sections with story, investigation, and the big hook of the games being the “trials.” As classmates meet an often grizzly end, it is left to the players to uncover the truth through inconsistencies and evidence in a courtroom setting. All this while a murderous troll of a mechanical bear named Monokuma makes life for the cast of high school students a living hell.

This announcement comes just over a month away from publisher Spike Chunsoft’sfirst big anniversary broadcast for the franchise.
