NewDC Universeart brings David Corenswet’s Superman and Milly Alcock’s Supergirl together in James Gunn’s superhero franchise. WithGunn’sSupermanmoviearriving in theaters next month, andSupergirl: Woman of Tomorrowslated for summer 2026, DC’s iconic Kryptonian cousins are becoming major players already in the DCU. However, what is unclear for the time being is when Clark Kent and Kara Zor-El will actually be sharing the screen together at the same time.

While fans are anticipating seeing the last son of Krypton with the Girl of Steel at some point in Gunn’s reboot, popular artistJobhutzrecently shared gorgeous DCU art featuring Corenswet and Alcock fully suited up together as Superman and Supergirl, respectively. Check it out below:

James Gunn’s New Version of the Superman Movie Logo

The DCU artwork imagines Superman and Supergirl teaming up with Krypto flying behind them, and also imagines this image as part of the headline for a new edition of The Daily Planet, with the article reading “Caped Wonders Stun City.” While there have been rumors that Alcock’s Supergirl might be making her DCU debut as early as this summer inSuperman, there has still been no confirmation as to whether or not the Australian star is set to be part of the film in any capacity.

What The David Corenswet & Milly Alcock Superman & Supergirl Art Means For The DCU

When it comes to Superman and Supergirl in live-action, fans have only really gotten to see the iconic Kryptonians together through TV shows, whether that be throughSmallvilleor the Arrowverse. But cinematically, that has yet to happen properly on the big screen, and if there is one major takeaway about the new DCU art, it is that this is why there is so much excitement about Corenswet and Alcock’s new takes on the heroes. The DCU would be the first time a shared universe actively features them both at the same time, with the potential of actually getting to meet one another.

Even though Christopher Reeve’sSupermanuniverse eventually led to aSupergirlmovie in that continuity, Helen Slater’s version of the heroine didn’t actually cross paths with the Man of Steel in these films. Duringthe DCEU movie timeline,Sasha Calle’s short-lived run as Supergirl inThe Flashnever saw her sharing the screen with Henry Cavill’s Superman. As Gunn’s DCU intends to be more interconnected, there will obviously come a time where Corenswet’s Superman and Alcock’s Supergirl will get to interact, but it is just a matter of when.

Since then, the franchise has exploded with thousands of comic books, movies, TV shows, and video games. 2013 marked the beginning of the most recent iteration of the superheroes, with Zack Snyder introducing Henry Cavill as Superman.
