Dead Island 2has a lot of lockboxes and keys to find when not slaying Hell-A’s undead and terrifying mutations. Ocean Avenue is a scenic area bursting with various keys to locate and secret unlockables for players to track down, and one set of keys to find is theGuest’s Keepsake lockbox and key.

After completingDead Island 2, many players may want to travel back to all map locations to discover every secret the zombie-killing game offers. Alternatively, other players may want to take their time to search and explore areas like Ocean Avenue to grab as many secrets as possible while progressing through the main story. Fortunately, theGuest’s Keepsake lockbox keyis easy to find once players know where to look.
TheGuest’s Keepsake lockboxshows up on the map once players reach the Sterling Hotel and meet Dr. Reed on completingDead Island 2’s main story quest called The Final Gauntlet. After getting some sleep, players wake up in one of the Hotel rooms where the Guest Keepsake box is on the table. To open it, players must find and kill the correct named zombie with the key.
Many ofDead Island 2’s zombies with keys won’t appear until players reach particular points in the main story, so if there’s no named zombie around, it’s time to progress further and come back later. However, theGuest’s Keepsake keyzombie does spawn after defeating Butcho the Clown and on beginning the Search for the Truth main story quest, so players may prefer to do this first and then useDead Island’s fast-travelmap to return to the Serling Hotel before they start searching.
Guest’s Keepsake Key Location
Exit the Serling Hotel and head to the alley between Venture Walk and Stoker Pl, defeating any zombies in the area as necessary. This might include some ofDead Island 2’s hardest zombies, like Butchers, who may spawn depending on how many story missions players have completed. There’s a gate on the left to enter the alley through a rare unlocked door.
A couple ofzombies roam the alley, and players may notice one of them is named Serling Guest.To get the Guest’s Keepsake key, players must defeat the zombie named Serling Hotel Guest, who drops the Guest’s Keepsake key when killed.
Return to the Serling Hotel to open the Guest’s Keepsake lockbox to get 100 dollars cash and unlock theenergizing weapons perk blueprint. This is aDead Island 2weapon modthat increases stamina after killing a zombie.
