It’s the calm before the storm withDestiny 2, as most players are now eagerly waiting for Season 2 to kick off alongside the Curse of Osiris story expansion. Bungie got the ball rolling earlier this week with its first of three planned livestreams for the new content, showing off one of the first story missions set on Mercury and confirming The Lighthouse as a new social hub. The work didn’t stop there, however, as the developer also released a new hotfix forDestiny 2and while the update was on the smaller side, it updated a number of items in advance of the forthcoming expansion.

With clans being a major focus this weekend forDestiny 2’sfirst Clarion Call double XP event, Bungie took an opportunity to correct a recent issue discovered with the Venture Capital Clan Perk. Essentially, the perk increases the chance for reputation tokens when completing Nightfalls, Raids and Trials. The bug in question, however, unexpectedly granted Faction Rally tokens for completed events. Obviously, as the Faction Rally is over, players were left with no way to turn them in for rewards.

PC players got an added bonus as update 1.0.7.1 was released shortly after, with the aim of fixing the increased appearance of Buffalo error codes. These messages are supposed to trigger when a player is either not logged in under their platform account, do not have an active Xbox Live/PlayStation Plus subscription, or the servers are undergoing maintenance. Unfortunately, something has caused this message to trigger often forDestiny 2PC players, which has pushed Bungie into action.

These fixes will undoubtedly be appreciated by the community, but more substantial content updates are on the way as well.Destiny’swinter event The Dawning will kick off next month, and that’s not to mention the upcoming release of theCurse of Osirisexpansion.

Destiny 2is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
