Just recently, Forbes published and then quickly deleted an article leaking thatDiablo 3: Eternal Collectionwould apparently bereleasing at some point later in 2018for Nintendo’s hybrid mobile console, the Switch. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, the Big N and Blizzard Entertainment have stepped up to officially confirm that the action-RPG will indeed be coming to the system by putting out an announcement trailer for the title.

As seen below in the announcement trailer forDiablo 3: Eternal Collectionon Nintendo Switch, it appears as if the graphical fidelity and original integrity of the action-RPG’s content for the system appears to be solid and intact, as the port looks to be running smoothly. Plus, it will be possible to play four-player local co-op using just one Switch (which could cause some visual lag), but players can also use four separate handhelds for local play. Online co-op is also available as well, and it provides the option for local players to join an online co-op game, too.

According to Blizzard,Diablo 3: Eternal Collectionwill give Nintendo Switch owners all of the expansions for free, meaning that along with such DLC as Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer, any other updates the game received since its original launch in 2012 will be included as well. What’s more is that the Switch version of the action-RPG is also expected to include a unique armor set that turns characters into one ofthe most iconic Nintendo villains, Ganondorf fromThe Legend of Zelda.

As of now, Blizzard has yet to reveal an official launch date forDiablo 3: Eternal Collectionon Nintendo Switch, but perhaps the company will confirm when the action-RPG hits the Big N’s system during the developer’s annual BlizzCon event. Then again, perhaps it could be even sooner, as Blizzard could potentially use gamescom 2018 as the platform to announceDiablo 3: Eternal Collection’s official release date on Switch. Conjecture aside, we will simply have to wait and see what else the studio has in store for us in the future regarding the title’s availability.

Diablo 3: Eternal Collectionis currently without an official release date, but has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch.
