After years of auditions, recordings and implementation, Brave New World, a highly anticipated voice rework mod forFallout: New Vegas, has finally been made available to the public. It joins the ranks of many otherpopularFallout:New Vegasmods.
Featuring the recording of over a hundred new voices, the mod replaces the voice recordings of characters in the game that shared the same voice actor, giving those characters a more unique identity. For all the accolades thatFallout: New Vegasreceived with its gameplay, story andsometimes bizarre quests, the game’s voice acting was hindered by the limited cast. LikeElder Scrolls 4:Oblivionbefore it,Fallout: New Vegashad voice actors doing multiple characters with only a few notable characters having unique voices.

Brave New World is a mod that addresses that issue with the addition of 145 unique voices being added to the game. Fans of characters like Caesar or Doc Mitchell won’t have to worry however, as titular characters have been left alone. The goal of the mod is to differentiate characters, so in addition to the new voices, the mod is accompanied by a visual remaster of the re-voiced characters, to help with their visual identity. The mod itself can be found on popular mod site, NexusMods.
Meanwhile, Fallout: New Vegasdeveloper Obsidian Entertainment has kept busy building off the success of its latest release,The Outer Worlds. The developer announced in late July that anew story expansion titled Gorgonwould be releasing for the game later this year. The new DLC will introduce a brand new planet to explore called Gorgon, where players will meet new NPCs, find new weapons, and embark on a new series of quests.
Fallout: New Vegasis available now on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
