With the introduction ofrandom weapon rolls in Forsaken, year oneDestiny 2weapons will be left behind with their static rolls – well most of them anyway. Today, Bungie confirmed that a select number of year one weapons will be brought up in Forsaken to have random rolls in addition to the static version of year one. In the announcement, Bungie included a teaser that hinted that the popular hand cannon Better Devils would be one of these weapons.
Better Devils is one of the most beloved weapons inDestiny 2at the moment. Earned from the Crucible, Better Devils comes with adaptive frame, extended mag, and explosive rounds, making it an extremely useful hand cannon. While those perks will remain static for any year one version of Better Devils, the year two version could possibly roll with even better perks, making the hand cannon even better.
While many vendor weapons and armor are beingleft behind with Forsaken, Bungie did say that some items from year one would be making a come back, but not as players remember them. The This Week At Bungie blog post included an image of Better Devils, which many fans believe to be a hint that the weapon will be coming back.
While Better Devils is already in a good spot perk-wise, many fans believe it could also get better depending on the new rolls with random perks. Bungie isreducing the time to killin Crucible, so Better Devils may roll with perks to better align with that change. While the current combination is hard to beat, players currently do not know what perks are in the pool for guns in Forsaken.
Overall, it’s great to see some year one weapons coming back in Forsaken with random perks. Many fans were upset that the random rolls weren’t retroactive, but it seems Bungie will be picking a select number of weapons to randomize. Players will just have to wait until Forsaken to find out which ones made the cut.
