Shortly after the official launch of Season 6,Fortnite’s Loot LakeFloating Island began to move. During this time, it has activated three runes located at Pleasant Park, Shifty Shafts, and Fatal Fields. Now, the rune located near Retail Row has been activated.
This rune, like the others, has been ripped from ground, with it joining the Floating Island. The wind vortex pushed the symbol out of the ground, and volcanic pits that can launch players also appeared. Although what is going on with the corrupted areas inFortniteisn’t exactly known, the mystery cube attached to the floating island - known to some as Kevin - is seemingly expanding across the island.
Each time a rune activates, larger pieces of the cube spread throughout the floating island, appearing both in the house and the underground portion of it. When the floating island began to move, there was very little cube above ground level, but it is now practically everywhere.
The most likely scenario is that the island follows its current pattern: the Retail Row rune will be the main focus for a few days before the symbol sets back into the ground. Afterward, the floating island will continue its tour of the battle island, with its destination being yet anotherCorrupted Area.
Once its tour of the island is finished, it’s hard to guess what will exactly happen. Epic Games is the only to know, and the company isn’t likely to share until the tour is over. However, it’s worth mentioning thatone popular Season 6 leak/theorymay have already revealed this. Thus far, this theory has been hit or miss, but according to it, this floating island could become a futuristic city designed by the Enforcers.
As moreFortnitenews develops, be sure to check back here. Until then, Ranters, good luck on the battle island.
