Without a doubt, myriadFortnitefans are doing their best to determine what exactly Epic Games has planned in the long run with its recent addition of amysterious purple cube, and while fans try to parse the enigma, the studio will continue to update the title. As it so happens, Epic recently announced in the free-to-play Battle Royale portion of the multiplayer shooter’s in-game news feed that a new item called the Shockwave Grenade is “coming soon”.
As indicated by the description of the new item in the image below, Shockwave Grenades will give players the ability to send opponents, squad members, and even themselves soaring across the map “like a human cannonball”. WithFortnitefans being able to launch their own characters into the air using Shockwave Grenades, Epic thankfully had the foresight to have the item grant immunity to fall damage, which could make the object an incredibly useful strategic tool in combat.
For those unaware, assets for the Shockwave Grenade showed up ina recent datamineofFortnite’s game files, which also unveiled that a Quad Rocket Launcher and Flamethrower have the potential to be added to the title at some point down the line as well. And with the Shockwave Grenade set to be incorporated intoFortniteBattle Royale soon, it definitely increases the chances of the other two weapons being included, too.
All things considered, the impending addition of the Shockwave Grenade toFortniteBattle Royale is simply yet another example of Epic doing its best to provide the free-to-play title with as robust of an armory as possible to help expand upon the existing strategies in the game. So, with this being the case, we should definitely expect to see the developer bringing even more usable items toFortnitewell into the future.
