Those looking forward toEpic Gamesand People Can Fly’s inclusion of Loot Llamas and the removal of smoke grenades in the multiplayer sandbox survival titleFortnite–which were supposed to take place today – will seemingly have to wait a little while longer for the changes to occur. As it so happens, the companies recently confirmed that such features and the entirety of the game’s Update 3.3 have received a delay.

This much was conveyed by Epic Games in a recent post on bothFortnite’s official Save the World subreddit and its Battle Royale forum, with the company stating, “We discovered an issue that will prevent us from releasing v3.3 [on] March 14. We’re working on solving that problem now and will update you once we know more.” As of writing, Epic hasn’t said what has caused the delay to occur, nor has the studio shared how long the postponement could last.

WithFortnite’s Update 3.3 having been delayed, this also means that fans will have to wait some more until Epic Games implements the recently revealedremote-controlled C4 explosiveto the title, with players having to remain content with the current weapons provided in the title for the time being. And while many are surely disappointed by Update 3.3’s detainment in development, some are at least excited to be able to playBattle Royale’s Teams of 20 modefor a little while longer.

All things considered, there’s no doubt that a lot ofFortnitefans will be upset to learn of Update 3.3’s delay, but it’s definitely best that Epic Games doesn’t rush it out and unintentionally create more bugs and glitches in the game. With any luck, Update 3.3 will give players even more reasons to join in on what is quickly becoming a global gaming phenomenon, and it will hopefully lay the groundwork for the highly covetedincorporation of Jetpacksin the title.

Fortniteis available now in early access for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
