On Thursday, November 29,FortniteBattle Royale season 6 will start to wrap up, as the week 10 challenges will go live. After that, season 7 will begin, with recent leaks suggesting that there could be awinter theme to the upcoming season.
As of writing, there has been no official word from Epic Games as to exactly when season 7 will begin, but there has been confirmation regarding season 6’s end.Fortniteseason 6 will come to a close on Thursday, December 6, with many believing that the accompanying update for next week will mark the beginning of season 7. While this may be the case, it is worth noting that the end of one season and the start of another has not always been so simple in the past.
For example, manyFortnitefans may remember the delay that came with season 6, as it didn’t actually begin until September 27. As it so happens, season 5 was supposed to end 10 days before on September 17, but since it didn’t, season 6 got pushed back. So, barring any delays, season 7 could be on track to launch directly after the end of season 6.
As manyFortnitefans may agree, the end of season 6 has been rather quiet thus far, but is likely amassing what is to be the calm before the storm. While players during the end of season 4 were aware of falling comets, and those taking part in the completion of season 5 were intensely watchingKevin, the mystery cube, it is odd to see how less action-packed the end of season 6 has been by comparison.
All of this is not to say thatFortniteseason 6 won’t end with some big event, but it appears as if it may have less of a build-up than prior seasons. At any rate, with season 6 coming to an end next week, it looks as if those players who have yet to finish collectingall the hidden battle stars and bannersfor the season at least have a little time left to do so before season 7 arrives.
