After taking a small break in 2019 aside from the announcement of themobile version ofForza Street,Forza Motorsportdisplays the major leap in power from the Xbox Series X. The trailer showcases the incredible attention to detail with the addition of ray tracing and native 4k resolution possible on the Series X to enhance the crisp visuals. With no date announced this will potentially mark the second year in a row without aForza Motorsportgame for an Xbox console. The Motorsport series would typically would trade years with its counterpartForza Horizonwhich had its last releaseForza Horizon 4in 2018.

Captured using in-engine footage, the trailer showcases the attention to detail the series is known for in addition to working with the new Xbox Series X controller to give players the feedback needed to out-race the competition. The lack of a number in the title is a change from the series past suggesting that the game may be focused on games-as-a-servicelike what was recently discovered withHalo Infiniterather then the typical numbered entry.

Fans of the series that can’t afford the Xbox Series X can still play the game on the Xbox One and even go a cheaper route through Xbox Game Pass for the console and PC, which will have the game available the same day it launches on the consoles. Though Microsoft has announced that Game Pass won’t beavailable on PS4 or Nintendo Switch.
