Within a month’s time, PC and Xbox One owners will have the chance to dive in toGears 5, the latest entry in Microsoft’s long-running third-person shooter series. The game has finished development, and to celebrate, Xbox released the full list ofGears 5achievements. And as it turns out, one of the achievements is a reference to former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.
Reggie Fils-Aime, who retired earlier this year, is one of the gaming industry’s most beloved executives. His E3 performances have become part of gaming culture, like his famous line, “My body is ready.” And now Reggie is being immortalized inGears 5through an achievement called “My Body is Ready” that references that very line.

As revealed by thelist ofGears 5achievements, “My Body is Ready” is worth 5 gamerscore and is awarded to players who complete the Boot Camp tutorial. It’s quite likely the first achievement that the vast majority ofGears 5players will unlock, and so almost everyone that has the game will have the Reggie achievement.
For some, the list ofGears 5achievements was eye-opening, as they highlight a feature that hasn’t been talked about all that much by the press. It was reaffirmed by theGears 5achievements that the game will have a3-player co-op campaign, with it implied that the third player will mostly control the hovering robot Jack. The Coalition has been secretive about theGears 5campaign for the most part, though, so who exactly the third player will control throughout the campaign hasn’t been confirmed.
Luckily, fans don’t have to wait too much longer for more information on the Gears 5 story campaign. It’s been confirmed thatGears 5will have a big presence at Gamescom, with Horde Mode being shown off during the Inside Xbox presentation, and campaign the focus of the Opening Night Live event on August 19. SinceGears 5’s presence at E3 2019 was mainly focused on thenew Escape mode, those more interested in Horde and campaign should be satisfied.
