Halo Infiniteis still quite the controversial game for fans. Alongside problems with paid armor customization options which have existed since the launch ofHalo Infinite’smultiplayer beta, now players are experiencing frustrating desync issues which have ruined many players' multiplayer matches. Developers ofHalo Infinitehave responded to the latter problem, yet there are fans who would like a few changes to be made toHalo Infinite, such as one fan who has designed an alternative multiplayer lobby screen.
Following theshut-down of servers forHalo 3, Halo: Reachand other olderHalotitles, many fans of the series have been reminiscing about their favorite games, getting in their last multiplayer matches before the Xbox 360 servers shut down. AsHaloplayers looked back on the older games, one fan has decided thatHalo Infinitecould take inspiration fromHalo 3’smultiplayer lobbies, and has redesigned the lobby from the latest title to emulate the previous titles.

Posting a couple of images to Reddit, the fan showed off a background image of the ZetaHaloring, which is the setting forHalo Infinite’scampaign. On the right of the images is shown a list of the players joining the match, complete with emblems, clan tags and player names. Then, there’s a teaser image of the map players will be playing on, complete with a veto countdown. All of these things combine to give serious nostalgia forHalo 3, and fans have stated in the comments of the post they’d prefer this concept to what the game currently has.
This isn’t the first time aHalofan has come up with a way to make the game’s online experience better. One player had an idea to improve the emblems in the game, andTeen Wolfstar Stephen Ford requested a change for the loading screens inHalo Infinite’smultiplayer. As with both of those changes, the proposed update to the multiplayer lobbies was met with positive reception from the onlineHalocommunity. Mostly, this praise came due to the fact that the player took inspiration from olderHalotitles, and while some fans believed it wasReach’sUI, it seems that as one player wrote, “it’s basically a combo of 2/3/Reach,” bringing the nostalgia from multiple older titles together.
Whether theHalo Infinitedevelopers will include lobby changes is another matter entirely. So far, there have been changes toHalo Infinitedue to fan feedback, such as the lowering of cosmetic prices in the online shop. Also, there is new content being brought to the game as well, asfive new maps forHalo Infiniteleaked. However, it’s unknown whether lobby changes will be brought in anytime soon.
Halo Infiniteis available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
