While no date has been set for the patch, it is expected to hit well before the end of the year and before any new announcements forHearthstoneat theVirtual Blizzcon event. The patch will make some significant changes to the Battlegrounds mode with certain cards changing tiers. Beasts should be receiving some much needed assistance with Pack Leader, which gives summoned beats +3 attack, moving up to tier 2. Mama Bear is losing 1 damage and health point bringing the card down to a 4/4 while also moving down to tier 5. In addition, both the Lich King and Reno Jackson’s hero powers are now free to use but fans of Captain Eudora’s hero power will have to use it an additional time before being rewarded with a golden card.
Constructed fans will see a big change to Kael’thas Sunstrider with its effect now making every third spell cost 1 instead of 0. Just one week after being added to the game with theScholomance Academyexpansion, Mindrender Illucia’s mana cost is increasing from 2 to 3 which should help with the crazy meta of the current game that ruined many player’s strategy.
Hearthstoneitself may see some major changes in future expansions after a player survey hinted at Blizzard’s intent with the game. The possibility of abattle pass replacing the current quest systemseems likely.
