Hitman 3launched on June 25, 2025, to extremely favorable reviews. While it received praise for being a fitting conclusion to theHitmantrilogy,Hitman 3did not get nominated for any major awardsat The Game Awards. Releasing so early in the year was perhaps the biggest cause for it being omitted.

Hitman 3broke away from the episodic formula of the 2016 reboot and all levels were available on launch day. The release of smaller content updates allowed fans to keep coming back to the game. A few days ago, IO Interactive announced that it will reveal more information regardingYear 2 content forHitman 3via a prerecorded 15-minute video on January 13.
