There are three new characters leaked forHonkai: Star Rail3.6, and while the information about them is still scarce, they may become some of the best playable units this year, perhaps surpassing characters like Castorice and Phainon.At the moment, the popular turn-based RPG by HoYoverse is in the midst of Version 3.4, a huge patch that has a lot of content. There are new Trailblaze Missions to complete as you continue the story of Amphoreus. Additionally, you can now pull forPhainon inHonkai: Star Rail, who is considered one of the best Physical DPS units.
Version 3.4 is also hosting the long-awaited collaboration event with theFate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Worksanime, bringing Saber and Archer as playable characters, as well as a quest chain for you to participate in. For a limited period,you can claim Archer for free by logging in. Both Saber and Archer’s banners will remain available for longer than regular banners, so you’ll have a better chance at getting them. Three New Characters Have Been Leaked For Honkai: Star Rail 3.6
Two Older Characters May Get New Forms
Even though Version 3.5 is the next patch that players should be paying attention to, some leaks are looking even further down the line. A new batch of leaks provided by HomDGCat has revealed thatthree new characters may be introduced in Version 3.6. The leak was shared by user Knight_Steve_ in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit. The leak highlights that March 7th’s new form, Dan Heng’s new form, andCyrene inHonkai: Star Railare bound to be the next playable characters.
Even though the leak doesn’t mention in which patch they will be introduced, seeing that there are no other leaks about other characters following the release of Hysilens and Cerydra in Version 3.5, the natural conclusion is that these three leaked characters will be released after the duo. Because HoYoverse usually introduces up to two characters per patch, it’s possible that one of the three units will be pushed into another update, as has been teased byCyrene’s leaked release inHonkai: Star Rail3.7.
How Honkai: Star Rail 3.6’s New Characters May Change The Meta
You Will Have Several Necessary Options To Play With
While it’s unclear exactly how the release order will work for these three characters, they all have the potential to substantially change the meta once they arrive.With March 7th’s rumored new Path, who is said to be a Remembrance DPS, you will get more options in terms of team comps. There are already a few Remembrance DPS units to use, such as Aglaea andCastorice inHonkai: Star Rail, but with more options, you may tackle gameplay differently – especially if March 7th’s new form doesn’t deal Lightning or Quantum DMG.
The leak says that March 7th’s new Path will allow her to enhance her own Memosprite, possibly via an ability, rather than relying solely on stats and external buffs like the other two Remembrance DPS characters.
When it comes to Dan Heng’s new form, this is an exciting new addition. While it hasn’t been mentioned in this particular post, previous leaks aboutDan Heng’s new form inHonkai: Star Railindicate that he will be a Preservation character, though his Type is still currently under debate. Even so,the prospect of a new Preservation character is tremendous, as there is a notable scarcity of shieldersand damage mitigators that don’t necessarily rely on healing to protect the team. The last Preservation character to be released was Aventurine in Version 2.1.
Lastly, Cyrene’s leaks state that she will be a Remembrance support character capable of targeting all allies rather than an individual character. Additionally, the leak says that she has multiple memosprite skills that target all allies rather than a single ability. As such,there is a chance that Cyrene will be a multi-faceted support who can adapt to various situations, offering different types of buffs depending on the stats that the team uses.
Honkai: Star Rail 3.6’s New Characters May Replicate HoYoverse’s Behavior
Cyrene May Be Fugue’s Equivalent This Year
I suspect that the new characters from Version 3.6 or beyond will be a representation of developer HoYoverse replicating its behavior from the previous year – especially when it comes down to Cyrene.Last year, the company released the Harmony Trailblazer, who revolutionized gameplay with the power to enable Super Break DMG, unlike any other character. With that, the character became a staple in Break DMG team comps, such as those led by Boothill orFirefly inHonkai: Star Rail.
Later on, HoYoverse released Fugue, who is a slightly better version of the Harmony Trailblazer. She is also capable of enabling Super Break DMG and offers better buffs than the protagonist. I believe that Cyrene will be a lot like the Remembrance Trailblazer in that sense, but with a wider skill set capable of surpassing the protagonist and making her a better support. If this is the case, and considering how powerful the Remembrance Trailblazer already is, Cyrene may become the best support unit inHonkai: Star Railthis year, surpassing the Remembrance Trailblazer and Tribbie, for example.
