Third party gaming accessory manufacturerHoriis releasing a new line of Pokemon-themed controllers forNintendo Switchat the end of the month. They are already available for pre-order through Amazon.
Two officially licensedSplit Pad Pro controllersand one Horipad, a wireless stand-alone controller, will start shipping on October 30th. The theme for the Horipad and one of the split controllers is everyone’s favorite electric-type, Pikachu, depicted in monochrome gold on a black background, complete with Pokeballs and lightning bolts. The second split pad pro controller is a striped teal with Pikachu and Eevee depicted in white, sitting across from each other on either side.

The next round of Hori products drops on Thursday, November 5th. The Horipad mini has the black Pikachu theme and is wired, so it is a good option forPokemonfans with smaller budgets and hands. There are also two Nintendo Switch Vault Cases and two Nintendo Switch Lite Duraflexi Protectors, each designed to fit either of the two themes mentioned above and featuring multipletypes of Pokemon.
The final product to be released on November 23rd is a blackPikachu-themed controller featuring a D-pad, but buyers will only receive the left hand side. The price of Hori’s Split Pad Pro controllers is set at $59.99, the Horipad is listed for $49.99, and the Horipad mini and the D-pad controller are $24.99 each. The vault cases and system armor are $19.99, and the Duraflexi protectors are $16.99 each.
Hori has been building gaming accessories since 1969, and partnering with game manufacturers since 1983. The manufacturer boasts that it works closely with game developers such as Capcom, Konami, Bandai Namco, Sega, and Square Enix with the intent to make well-made officially licensed products.
