After keeping fans waiting, Epic Games has finally unveiled its plans for theFortniteAndroid beta. During the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Unpacked event that took place earlier today, Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney confirmed that the beta begins this week.

However, joining the beta requires a little more legwork than just hitting a button on the game’s Google Play listing (FortniteAndroidwon’t be available through Google Play). How to Join the Fortnite Android Beta (Samsung Users)

As mentioned, Epic Games has a promotional deal with Samsung for the Android version of the game. Not only does that include an exclusiveFortniteskin for Samsung users, but it also includes exclusive early access to the Android beta for users of certain Samsung Galaxy handsets. (Those who don’t have a Samsung Galaxy device should skip ahead to the next section).

How to Join the Fortnite Android Beta (Non-Samsung)

For thoseFortnitefans who unfortunately don’t have access to a Samsung Galaxy device listed above, there will be a bit of a wait. Epic Games has said that the Android beta will become available a for a wider range of non-Samsung Galaxy Android devices in the “next few days” but unfortunately, it hasn’t stated exactly when that will be.

Fortniteis available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS devices. The Android beta is now taking place, with a full release planned for later this summer.
