WhileI do not believe it to be better than the three seasons of Netflix’sDaredevil, it is easy to see that the foundation is there to be built upon inDaredevil: Born Againseason 2, which will not have to deal with the same creative overhaul that season 1 had to.The Punisherwriter Dario Scardapane is the MCU series' showrunner, which is fitting.
Daredevil: Born Againseason 2 will, at the very least, include one major MCU reunion. That is becauseKrysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones has been announced to returnand was even spotted filming scenes with Cox for season 2. However, withDaredevil building an MCU army, which started in theDaredevil: Born Againseason 1 finale, several heroes could also appear, such as the rest of Netflix’s Defenders, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Tony Dalton’s Swordsman, Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, and more. While I don’t believe one MCU hero will appear in season 2, the character could reunite with Matt Murdock soon.

Marvel Studios Has Made Sure To Show His Importance
Daredevilseason 3 marked the original final point in the story of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. While it seemed like the character would never return, it was later revealed thatMarvel Studios was not allowed to use Cox’s Daredevil and other characters from the show for two years after its cancellation. When that embargo ended, Cox came back as Matt Murdock inSpider-Man: No Way Home, with a cameo appearance that had him as the lawyer of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. I loved that project as Cox’s MCU return, as Daredevil and Spider-Man in live-action together was quite a sight.
Marvel Studios has understood just how beloved Cox and Daredevil are, which is why the actor was used in multiple projects before being given the chance to lead a solo series again. InShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law, we saw Daredevil and a version of Hulk fighting alongside one another, withCox’s Matt and Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters hooking up and showing great chemistry. After that, Daredevil’s final MCU appearance before leadingDaredevil: Born Againseason 1 was inEcho. While Cox was only in it for a cameo, the series allowed Marvel to showcase Daredevil’s fighting skills perfectly.

Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, has said thatCharlie Cox’s Daredevil and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man are the faces of the MCU’s street-level sidegoing forward. I believe they should be mostly kept to their respective mediums, with Spider-Man leading another movie trilogy and appearing in other films, while Daredevil continues to have a long run on TV. For the latter, the idea of creating an army against Kingpin means staying in New York City for the foreseeable future, which limits the options of characters he could interact with. However, it seems like a reunion with an underrated hero is still possible.

The MCU Hero Is Incredibly Underrated
AsDaredevil: Born Againseason 1 ended with Kingpin taking over New York City and Daredevil starting an army to defeat him, I did not expect to see She-Hulk in season 2.The character simply does not fit the darker tone of the TV-MA series, and with New York under martial law, I can’t see Daredevil finding the time to go to Los Angeles to meet Jennifer, nor the other way around, as the Big Apple is not the place to visit right now in the MCU. However, theMCU’s future projectscould make that possible.
On TikTok,Jimmy Kimmel Live!shared a video of Charlie Cox addressing whether we could see Daredevil and She-Hulk reunite. According to the MCU star,it is possible that Matt and Jen could meet again, saying, “Maybe when I’m here [L.A.] in the future, maybe there’s some possibility for a hook-up.“I thought there was no desire at Marvel to pick back up on that romance, especially with Matt and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page displaying a lot of chemistry inDaredevil: Born Againseason 1. Why She-Hulk And Daredevil Need To Interact Again In The MCU
Their Appearances Together Showed Impressive Chemistry
I’m a fan of dark superhero projects, andDaredevil: Born Againis a mature series that differs from most of what we have seen in the MCU. However, there is enough room in the franchise to play with different versions of Cox’s Daredevil. During his two-episode arc inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law, we saw justhow exciting a lighter take on Daredevil with Cox in the role could be. I don’t necessarily want to see his solo series go for that tone at some point, but Daredevil showing a more vibrant side in new MCU projects would be thrilling.
She-Hulk’s MCU return would create a direct path for that to happen. Sadly,I don’t think that will be inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawseason 2, as the show’s CGI was quite costly, and the viewership was not there to warrant a second season. That said, the upcoming Avengers movies or other future MCU projects could put the two together. She-Hulk and Daredevil have become one of my favorite Marvel couples. They complement each other nicely, with both being superheroes and lawyers and Jen’s identity being out while no one knows Matt is Daredevil. I want more of that dynamic.
Which Upcoming Marvel Studios Projects Could Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk Appear In?
She-Hulk’s MCU Future Is Uncertain At The Moment
Given the way season 1 ended and how Cox said that Matt and Jen could reunite when he comes to Los Angeles again, I think that ruling out a She-Hulk appearance inDaredevil: Born Againmakes sense. Of the MCU’s announced projects, the most likely entries for the two heroes to interact are the upcoming Avengers movies. Whileneither Cox nor Maslany were announced as part ofAvengers: Doomsday’s cast, Kevin Feige has revealed that not all the actors in the film have been announced, so the door is open for Daredevil and She-Hulk to be in it.
Avengers: Secret Warsshould also include most active characters in the MCU, so the duo’s chances of reuniting there are good, and it would allow for Cox’s Daredevil to have a lighter tone, which I hope we get again in the future. As for She-Hulk solo, there arerumors that aWorld War Hulk moviecould be on the way. WithShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawteasing different versions of the Hulk and his blood getting into the wrong hands, as well as Red Hulk’s debut inCaptain America: Brave New World, that project could happen, though withoutDaredevil.
