While it initially seemed like there could be a spark between Carrie and Adam,And Just Like Thatseason 3, episode 3shifted gears, with chemistry clearly present between Adam and Seema when the latter swings by to pick up Carrie. The friends fly to Virginia for Carrie’s book event, though it’s just an excuse to see her long-time, and now, long-distance beau, Aidan. With Carrie going the distance to make her romance work,it makes sense that Adam will be a romantic connection for Seema, not the show’s leading lady.
While she is initially opposed to the chemistry Carrie picks up on between them, a romance between Seema and Adam could be the right fit.
The romance comes as Seema enters a new chapter in her dating life. InAnd Just Like Thatseason 1, episode 1, Patel breaks up with her movie producer boyfriend, Ravi (Armin Amiri). While Seema had agreed to give her long-distance love a chance, she breaks it off, and meets with a matchmaker (Cheri Oteri), arranged by her boss, Elliot (John Glover), to get her back in the game. That said, while she is initially opposed to the chemistry Carrie picks up on between them, a romance between Seema and Adam could be the right fit.

It’s Too Quick For Carrie To Get With Someone Else
While I was initially intrigued about a potential romance between Carrie and Adam, I appreciate thatAnd Just Like Thatisn’t giving up onCarrie and Aidan’s romanceso quickly. Bradshaw and Shaw first meet inSex and the Cityseason 3, so the couple has a rich history to tap into, and the reboot is making the most of it. Carrie met Aidan in his gallery, back when their lives were simple. While they fall for each other quickly, spending days on end together,Carrie and Aidan’s romance also quickly hits a rough patch.
Between Carrie’s breakup with John Preston aka Mr. Big (Chris Noth) looming over her andAidan’s toxic behavior inSex and the City— pressuring Carrie into marrying him before she is ready — the romance doesn’t work out in the original series. That said,Sex and the Citykept Carrie and Aidan’s connection alive, with the couple sharing a kiss inSex and the City 2as they both find themselves in Abu Dhabi. After Big’s death inAnd Just Like That’s premiere, Carrie is open to having a relationship with Aidan again, and she leaps at the opportunity.
I kind of want the couple to call it quits, withCarrie and Aidan’sAnd Just Like Thatromance repeating problems fromSex and the City.He is acting impulsively, affecting the couple’s ability to strike the right balance. That said, there’s something genuine about where Carrie and Aidan are, since many couples work through conflicts that aren’t simple. It would be a mistake for the reboot to pull the plug on the romance too soon, repeating an explosive breakup like that inSex and the City.That said,And Just Like Thatseason 3’s trailer teases another connection for Bradshaw.
