Cobra Kaiactor Martin Kove issued a public apology for the incident where he bit his co-star, Alicia Hannah-Kim, at a fan convention. Kove, best known as villainous sensei John Kreese, and Hannah-Kim, who played Master Kim Da-Eun, were among severalCobra Kaiactors appearing at Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington, this past weekend.Hannah-Kim accused Kove of assaulting her, although she chose not to press charges.

I regret my actions for which I take full responsibility for what I did, and again I apologize to her and her husband. I’m committed to learning from this and it will never happen again.”

According to a report filed with the Puyallup Police Department, Alicia Hannah-Kim told an officer that when she greeted Martin Kove at Summer Con’s VIP section, he abruptlygrabbed her arm and bit her“so hard he nearly drew blood.”Kove then began kissing her arm where he had bitten her when Hannah-Kim screamed in pain. Hannah-Kim and her husband, actor Sebastian Roche, confronted Kove, who reportedly“exploded on them, saying something to the effect of how dare they confront him.”
After Alicia Hannah-Kim reported the incident to the police, Martin Kove reportedly told the officer that he was only"trying to be funny"and that they"play fight all the time on the set of ‘Cobra Kai.“Kove was told to leave the convention, and Hannah-Kim declined to file charges, but"wished to have a report filed in case this continues.”Kove’s public apology comes days after consulting a PR crisis management firm.

Martin Kove and Alicia Hannah-Kim portrayed allies inCobra Kaiseason 6, but it’s hard to fathom what Kove was thinking when he decided to bite Hannah-Kim’s arm.Kove doesn’t deny his actions, and he apologized and acknowledged his unacceptable behavior. In turn, Hannah-Kim didn’t file charges against her former co-star after she and her husband confronted Kove. Martin does seem to realize there’s no excuse for his behavior or his initial response when he was called out on it.
