The premise of King Arts Games’ RTS titleIron Harvestis a pretty interesting one: an alternate-history version of 1920s Europe where conflicts are fought using giant dieselpunk mechs. The introduction of theOperation Eagleannouncement trailer begins subtly. Viewers will see and hear a nature setting on a cliffside, where what appears to be a sheepherder is tending to his flock. A sudden foghorn breaks the quaint setting, with the herder looking out into the adjacent valley to see an armada of dieselpunk zeppelins. The expansive fleet can be seen flying through the valley towards plumes of black smoke on the horizon, with a line of aircraft leading the brigade with patriotic red-white-and-blue smoke trails. The newIron Harvestadd-on DLC will add not only the new Usonia Faction and campaign, but also new flying units, structures, and defenses for all factions, and other substantial pieces of new content.
It should be noted thatOperation Eagleis consideredIron Harvest’s “first add-on,” meaning the expansion will cost players $19.99. While new content for the game is surely welcomed, fans are still waiting on updates on another title from publisherDeep Silver,Dead Island 2. In a response to colleague Techland’s recentDying Light 2update, the publisher claims that the four-year delayed title “is coming out,” but that it can’t yet say as to exactly when.
