After briefly traveling back in time, the Flash returns to the present and begins putting his speed to good use against his foes. Despite their best efforts to contain him, the Flash is starting to gain a better sense of his powers, which allow him to see every moment of his life at once.

DC’s Heroes are Growing Stronger Thanks to Darkseid’s Adversity
Darkseid’s body was physically destroyed in a battle with the Justice League, but his threat was far from over. His energy settled on Earth-Alpha, where it shaped an entire universe’s history to reflect his dark ideals. In this world, hope is fleeting and adversity and challenge are the universe’s guiding principles. Heroes have started to rise, yes, but they face greater difficulties and lack many of the comforts of their Prime counterparts. Above all else,Darkseid’s new world is meant to serve as an incubator for the villainuntil he gathers enough strength to attack the Prime DCU once more.
Ironically, while Darkseid’s creation of the Absolute Universe was meant to throw greater challenges in the way of this world’s heroes, he’s actually creating stronger, more resilient heroes. Wally hasn’t even had his powers for a full day, and he’s already starting to master time-travel. The same goes for other Absolute heroes, like Wonder Woman, who has extremely powerful magic, and Martian Manhunter, whose psychic abilities defy comprehension. These heroes haven’t formed a team just yet, but by the time they unite,they’ll form a Justice League that could be even more powerful than the one from the Prime DCU.

Darkseid might have believed that the heroes of the Absolute Universe would fail and wouldn’t be able to oppose him. But these heroes are facing their challenges head on, and they’re growing stronger because of them. Granted, they’re all quite new and many of them are still discovering what they can actually do. But Wally’s discovery of time-travel is just one example of how powerful these heroes are and the potential for growth should they keep working hard. They may not be theJustice Leagueyet, but when they come together, they’re going to be a real match for Darkseid.
