Majin Buu has garnered a little more attention from theDragon Ball Zfandom as of late, thanks to his current role in the manga. Comic fans will know that the Lord of Lords has awakened within Majin Buu, as he is helping Goku and Vegeta take on the ancient Sorcerer Moro inDragon Ball Super’s latest story arc, but that’s not everything the character has been up to lately. Now,Jump Forcepublisher Bandai Namco has revealed that Majin Buu (Good) will be joining the anime crossover fighting game’s roster following the first set ofDLC characters such as Seto Kaiba.
As many will know, the Buu Saga took place back in the days ofDragon Ball Z, where the pink, elastic character was introduced as a villain. Buu has undergone several forms since then such as Super Buu and Kid Buu, but it appears thatJump Forceis going with the more classical, good-hearted design of Buu. It’s uncertain if this DLC will be connected to the Lord of Lords storyline in any way, but even if it isn’t, many will still enjoy playing Buu.
Bandai Namco stops short of putting a release date on Buu coming toJump Force, but it does provide the window of summer 2019, meaning that the character will be arriving sooner rather than later. Although manyDragon Ball Zfans may be glad to see the character appear in the game, there’s likely to be a few less-than-thrilled by it.

That’s because, as it stands,Dragon Ball Zhas a solid amount of representation in-game, with Goku, Vegeta, Freiza, Trunks, Piccolo, and Cell already appearing in-game. There are other animes currently inJump Force, with much less representation such asBlack CloverandJoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, that many feel deserves the added attention.
Regardless, Majin Buu arrives sometime in the near future, withMy Hero Academia’s Bakugoalso joining the roster ofJump Force. How these new characters fit into the game’s meta remains to be seen, but hopefully, there will be some shake-ups.
Jump Forceis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
