This article is all about the original version ofWordle.There are loads of copycats out there, but the first version ofWordlewill be found onthe New York Times Games website. SinceWordleis a browser-based game, players can play with almost any device that connects to the internet. Head to the site. Next, choose a starting word; it should be five letters long, a real English word, and contain several of themost commonWordleletters. Type it into the site and press enter. The letters will change color.
Players have just six total guesses to get to the answer. Puzzles reset at midnight local time. Also, when a puzzle is complete, players can see theWordlemenu. This menu contains both stats and a spoiler-free share button.
The stats include things like total puzzles played, win streak, and guess distribution. This menu can be reached after each puzzle or at any time with the graph icon in the upper right-hand part of the New York Times GamesWordlesite.
