As the release date ofKingdom Hearts 3approaches, Square Enix has been generous enough to keep fans posted on the game’s development with several trailers showcasing the exciting worlds that await players come January. Now, the studio has revealed the talented people that would be giving life to some of the game’s beloved characters.

First off, voice actor Haley Joel Osment, who provided the original voice work for Sora, will reprise the role of the protagonist inKingdom Hearts 3.Square Enix also announced that most of the actors that previously played Disney characters in the movies will be reprising their respective roles in the upcoming game. As of now, the list of confirmed actors appears to be incomplete, given that some characters that were previously shown in trailers were not included in the announcement. Last week, Square Enix released anextended trailer of the gamethat featured the world of Big Hero 6 and its characters. So far, no announcement has been made on whether the original voice actors of Baymax and Hiro will reprise their roles in the game. Also missing was Rapunzel from Tangled, who was originally played by Mandy Moore, so it is possible that Square Enix will release more information soon.

Kingdom Hearts 3will serve as a direct sequel to the 2006 titleKingdom Hearts 2and will be the twelfth entry in the franchise overall. However, players shouldn’t be concerned about the 12-year gap between KH2 and KH3 as Square Enix promises to give arecap of past eventsin the upcoming title.

The game has been announced for quite some time now and has made eager fans wait in anticipation. We were able to get ahands-on experience ofKingdom Hearts 3and was impressed with the game’s gorgeous visuals, stellar voice acting and excellent combat. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the game is definitely worth the wait.

Kingdom Hearts 3is scheduled to release on May 29, 2025, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
