However,according to GameInformer, fans are working on bringingLawBreakersback to life. Dubbed the RELB Project, fans are using “fake” servers that the original game client uses to continue playingLawBreakers. This, in turn, has allowedLawBreaker’splayer base to grow, granting players access to a game that would otherwise be unplayable. The RELB project started in 2020 and can be downloaded via a launcher. Players can enjoy the game by simply applying a patch toLawBreakers.
Cliff Bleszinski Supports LawBreakers' Return
LawBreakerswas created by Boss Key Productions, a development team led byGears of Warlead designer Cliff Bleszinski. While this project is unofficial, Bleszinski has been very vocal about bringingLawBreakersback, showing his full support for the RELB Project.Bleszinski has hinted at bringing backLawBreakershimself in the past. Now, he is tweeting about the fanmade project, sharing a link to the project’s official Discord server.
Boss Key Productions shut down as a result ofLawBreakers' failure, with Bleszinski stating he would never make another video game again. The RELB Project is still a work in progress, andLawBreakersis far from making a full recovery, but the team and fans are dedicated to bringing the game back to life. The RELB Project is currently seeking more developers to help. It held its first series of public playtests recently, with these sessions proving to be quite successful. This new version ofLawBreakersis a far cry from the version players had access to upon release, with several features and game modes being disabled during testing.
