Destiny 2players can pre-order the sci-fi FPS game today, but won’t be able to get hands-on with the game untilthe beta starts this summer. Bungie has promised a steady stream of news, gameplay reviews, and other hype surrounding the game leading up to its September release, but for now, players can settle for an early listen to the epic theme music.
Players who pre-order theDestiny 2digital deluxe edition are apparently being rewarded with a PS4 console theme. In addition to a gorgeous wallpaper, the theme also includes an epic song that sounds like it might be theDestiny 2theme track. At this point, we haven’t confirmed a similar reward on other platforms.
Shoppers who aren’t ready to shell out the cash for a pre-order can listen to the currently untitled theme right here…
There has already been some interesting debate over the tone ofthe first two trailers for the game, with some players suggested that things seem a bit too light and jokey for the current setting and circumstances that Guardians will be dropped into. Although the trailer definitely jumps back and forth in tone from serious to slapstick, that is not the case for the theme. TheDestiny 2song is beautifully composed and starts out somber, but eventually builds up to an intense action theme that would fit right in to a dramatic combat encounter. If this first track is any indication, is seems like the game will come equipped with a fantastic score to guide players through space.
Gamers looking for even more Destiny 2 bonus rewards can attempt to secure a pre-order ofDestiny 2’sCollector’s and Limited Editions. These special bundles will take the price tag up, but are full of goodies that hardcoreDestinyfans will appreciate.
