Little Nightmares 2had some pretty high expectations following the positive reception to its prequelLittle Nightmaresin 2017. As such, many horror fans consideredLittle Nightmares 2to be one of thebiggest releases of February 2021, alongside titans likeSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s FuryandPersona 5 Strikers.
Now it seems as if that anticipation has paid off, asLittle Nightmares 2has already hit an impressive sales milestone just one month after its release. According to publisher Bandai Namco,Little Nightmares 2reached one million copies sold just days before its one-month anniversary.

The news comes by way of a press release statement on Bandai Namco’s official website. Bandai Namco highlighted how impressive this feat is, explaining thatLittle Nightmares 2is “the first title developed by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe to do so in this timeframe.” The press release also announces that theLittle Nightmaresseries as a whole has now reached over five million players total, which Bandai Namco says is quite an important milestone for “this western-led franchise.” Seeing asreviews forLittle Nightmares 2were largely very positive too, it’s no wonder the game has been performing well.
It seems that Bandai Namco is intent on continuing the series, alluding that the team “can’t wait to share with you what’s next.” However, it seems that the development team behind the series is not on the same page, asTarsier Studios said it is finishedwith the series followingLittle Nightmares 2’s release. Depending on what direction Bandai Namco decides to take the series, this could be bad news for fans of the horror adventure titles. Regardless, it’s an impressive milestone forLittle Nightmares 2and the series as a whole.
Little Nightmares 2is out now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
