What Backlash To Jeremiah & Hannah’s Exits Mean For Love Island USA
Production Is Accused Of Being Too Involved This Season
Love Island USAseason 7 has attempted to capitalize on the popularityofLove Island USAseason 6, where Islanders like Leah Kateb, Serena Page and JaNa Craig became fan-favorites—and found love. Leah and her partner, Miguel Harichi, Serena and partner Kordell Beckham, who won the season, and JaNa and partner Kenny Rodriguez all came out of the villa as stars, but they also did what they were supposed to do onLove Island, which is look for partners.
DuringLove Island USAseason 7, however, romantic relationships are not being prioritized, and the cast is being accused of playing it a bit safe, which has led to speculation that production is becoming too involved in the plot. Huda, for instance, is one of the most polarizing cast members this season, yet she wasn’t in the bottom three of least favorite women.Perhaps Huda isn’t as unpopular as social media would have her seem, or perhaps producers decided to keep her on because she makes headlines.
Our Take On Jeremiah & Hannah’s Stunning Exits
Jeremiah & Hannah’s Exits Made For Great Television
Love Islandis a juggernaut of a reality show, in part due to jaw-dropping moments like when Hannah and Jeremiah were eliminated. A surprise like that stunned fans, but it shouldn’t have becauseLove Islandis known for breaking the rules. There’s very little rhyme or reason when it comes to eliminations. Sometimes, Islanders are voted off by America; sometimes, they’re voted off by their fellow Islanders. Production likes to change things up often, which makes for a show that is never boring.
Whether production rigged the voting this time to keep Huda on can never be known, butHuda is the name on everyone’s lips. Love her or hate her, Huda is a great reality star because she’s flawed and leads with emotion over logic. Without her and Jeremiah’s on-again, off-again romance, this season would be boring. Perhaps that’s why production felt she needed to stay, or perhaps America actually really likes Huda and voted her among the favorites. Either way, we’ll be tuning in to see what happens next, which is the whole point ofLove Island.
Love Island USAairs new episodes daily (except Wednesdays) at 9 p.m. EDT on Peacock.
